To submit written work, choose either of the two following ways:

Email

• Please read the information about signed permissions forms required for publication of your work.
  

• Send your work in the body of an email to Submit@chixLITtle.com. We do not accept attachments.
  

• Please include your FULL name, AGE, snail-mail address, a way to contact you or an adult guardian or parent.
  

• Remember, we cannot accept attachments!

• Be sure to include your FULL name, AGE, snail-mail address, and a way to contact you, an adult guardian, or parent.
  

• We REALLY prefer email, but most importantly, we want you to share YOUR chixLITtle words!

It’s easy to submit to either literary ‘zine by and for girls

• You must be female to be published. If you are age 7 to 12, submit to chixLITtle; if you are 13 to 17, send to chixLIT.
  

• Choose one or two of your best pieces of writing—nothing too long: poem, short short story, review, rant, love letter, song. (300-word maximum, please).

Permission for Publication

• We require a signed permission form from a parent or adult guardian before we can publish your work.
  

• If you submit by snail mail, please include the permission form with your work.
  

• If you submit by email and your work is chosen for publication, we will contact you for your signed permission form to be sent to us by snail mail.

If you include all the required information and we decide to print your piece, you’ll hear from us. Unfortunately, it may take a while. Our ‘zine is small but growing; if you don’t hear from us right away, please don’t get discouraged! And feel free to send us an reminder after 90 days if you haven’t heard back about a submission.
